Passports

Passports are required by ALL nationals who wish to visit the Republic of Indonesia. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.

A Tourist visa is required before a tourist can enter the country. Please refer to the chat below.

For tourist nationals that are not included in the chart above please be advised to contact the Indonesian Embassy in order to check for the tourist visa requirements.

Visa Note

  1. All nationals of the following countries: USA, UK, Australia, Finland, Poland, Spain, Canada, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Hungary, Italy, France, Denmark, and Luxemberg can directly apply for a Tourist visa that is valid for 30 days and is non – extendable, upon arrival on the airport provided that they had entered through the authorized airports / seaports of the country.

  2. Nationals of the following countries: Latvia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic and nationals of the countries that are referred to in the chart who want to stay in the country longer than 30 days must apply for a Tourist visa that is valid for 60 days prior to entering the country.

Those visitors and tourists who go beyond their visa – free stay will be given severe fines and even imprisonment or deportation.

Types of Visa and its Cost

Single – entry £35
Transit £15
Multiple – entry (business only) £125
Tourist visas that is issued upon arrival US$25 the minimum, as it depends on the port of entry used either airport or seaport

Note: All visa fees are non – refundable.

Validity

Transit about 3 months from the date of issuance and a stay of 7 days utmost
Single – entry about 3 months from the date of issuance and a stay of 60 days utmost
Multiple – entry for 1 year, with each stay no longer than 60 days. The 1st entry must be within three months from the date of its issuance

Applications

To apply for a visa, visitors must go to the consular section at the embassy. All nationals who are thinking of visiting Indonesia are advised to properly process their visa application at the embassy’s visa section before entering the country.

Working Days Required

Please give at least 5 to 6 working days to process the visa application. For multiple – entry business visas applications and the applications of nationals from certain countries will need to to be referred first to the Indonesian authorities and this may take 2 months or even more. In this case, there is an extra £5 fee for the processing.
