GAYS AND LESBIANS IN HONG-KONG

Lesbians and gays can enjoy the colorful gay bars and clubs that are scattered all over Hong Kong. Some can be sited in Tsim Sha Tsui (TST), Central, Causeway Bay and Sheung Wan. The characteristics of these venues differ a great deal and would probably dishearten those individuals who are anticipating something similar to the scene on Paris or London. Hong Kong without doubt has no gay zones like those in the western cities

The most popular gay bars and clubs in there region are the following:

Works

It is a decent bar for tourists to start off and to get the feel of the gay setting in Hong Kong. It is just a short distance from Central MTR Station in Hollywood Road. Guests and customers won’t be arriving before 11:00 am.

Propaganda

The sister night club to the famous Works. Its entrance door can be tricky. But if you want to experience the scene, just follow the mob of people that comes from the Hollywood Road when Works would start to fade. Propaganda or popularly called as PP by locals is famous and exert the pull on a good selection of people.

New Wally Matt

Can be situated in Tsim Sha Tsui. The New Wally Matt is a pleasant transformation from the more exaggerated gay bars and clubs around Hong Kong Island. It is located in Humphrey’s Avenue only a very short walk from TST MTR station.
