Aberdeen Country Park Aberdeen Country Park has a unique feature for its park goers – it’s the only park that has a picnic area that is designed to have a room for the disabled. The park is built in the vicinity of Hong Kong Island’s reservoirs. Its trails offer an excellent walk by its goers and it is simple accessible because of its proximity to Hong Kong’s urban areas. Aberdeen Country Park’s is one of Hong Kong’s oldest country parks and its beautiful scenery is the effect of natural regeneration and reforestation. Lung Fu Shan Country Park In 1998, Lung Fu Shan Country Park has been voted as the region’s smallest country park. The park can be located in the Western and Central areas in Hong Kong. Lung Fu Shan is now the home of the empty Pinewood Battery – the remnants of a military fortress that was constructed in 1903. Pok Fu Lam Country Park Pok Fu Lam Park is where the region’s flower symbol, the Bauhinia blakeana, was supposedly first discovered. Pok Fu Lam Park is situated within Hong Kong’s residential area which is connected to Aberdeen and Mid – Levels by the Pok Fu Lam Road. It is located in the Peak’s foothills which encompasses the Pok Fu Lam Reservoir, the oldest water storage facility in Hong Kong. The park is the best place for fresh early morning joggling and for those bird lovers who want to catch a good glimpse of Hong Kong’s famous Black – eared Kite. Shek O Country Park Shek O Country Park has a lot of picnic and barbeque areas that is designed to give its visitors a good time in the park. In general, Shek O Park is a very soothing and a pleasurable place to view the famous Big Wave Bay. Tai Tam Country Tai Tam Park has four reservoirs that were built between the years 1889 – 1917. The park also features wonderful coastal sceneries and the lovely picturesque and the lush Tai Tam Valley. Another striking feature is the historical World War II sites like those forts. In the park, you can also view on the remnants of James Matheson’s bungalow – a Scottish founder of Jardine Matheson & Co. Ltd. |

Lam Tsuen Country Park Lam Tsuen Country Park is a vast park as it extends from Yuen Long, Fanling and Tai Po. It is situated in the northern part of New Territories. The park trails are rough and only the fit and experienced hiker can truly appreciate it. Lam Tsuen is a green park and is stuffed with different varieties of beautiful and colorful flowers. Lion Rock Country Park Lion Rock Country Park consists something like 5.57 sq. km of land which includes Mong Fu Shek and Lion Rock plus their neighboring scenic hillsides about 3.48 sq. km of forestry plantations. Ma On Shan Country Park Some of the region’s most dramatic landscapes rest within Ma On Shan Country Park on the Sai Kung Peninsula. Ma On Shan Park connects with Lion Rock Country Park and Sai Kung Country Park. It not only features shady barbeque areas but also a famous yet tough Ma On Shan Country Side Trail that stretch to more than 3 kilometers. Tai Lam Country Park Tai Lam Country Park is located in Yuen Long at the western part of New Territories. It is considered as Hong Kong’s one of the best for hiking. It has twelve (12) hiking trails that include two (2) parts of the well – known MacLehose Trail. Tai Mo Shan Country Park Tai Mo Shan Country Park is exceptionally famous for barbeque, picnic and its recreation spot in the whole Hong Kong. It is the location on Tai Mo Shan – the highest mountain in Hong Kong which is nearly 1,000 meters high. Tai Mo Shan is locally known as Big Mist Mountain or Big Hat. |

Lantau North Country Park Lantau North Park surrounds the Yi Tung Shan, Sunset Peak, the north region of Ngong Ping, Lin Fa Shan and the northern slopes of the Lantau Peak. North Lantau is where those iconic animals like Hong Kong Newt – the native amphibian and dolphins can be sited. The park is naturally a relaxing environment. Ping Chau Ping Chau is one of Hong Kong’s distance islands but it is easily accessible by any of Hong Kong’s public transport. Ping Chau Island is fraction of Plover Cove Country Park. Ping Chau’s six – kilometer country trail show the way to astonishing rock formations that has an eye – catching bands of color. |
