Old Town in Li Jiang Li Jiang was originally built for over 800 years ago and after the 1996 earthqauke it was partially reconstructed. It is characterized by the cobblestone streets, the streams that run alongside and the conventional Naxi houses. This old town radiates a unique ambiance that is not visible anywhere in China. Shanghai French Concession This is where you can spot those lovely colonial – style mansions, the tree – lined boulevards and the art deco architecture. You will also find the top leading bistros in the area and of course the famous Xin Tiandi, the exclusive and the priciest shopping center in town. Sichuan Teahouses Locals often are seen taking in the pleasures of drinking tea while playing mah – jong with their friends, family and loved ones. Try it for yourself! Dining and Shopping Eating is part of China’s rich culture and is considered as a form of art. Food is meant to be tasty and nutritious. The Beijing cuisine would almost always involves deep – frying, stir – frying and roasting. Peking Duck is the all time favorite and you can also try on the exotic chicken gizzards or the stir – fried pig’s tripe. Be aware that majority of their items are antiques. The Dongjiadu Fabric Market has all the bolts of cashmere, silk, wool, linen and cotton that are offered at incredibly low price. Some also offers tailoring services which also cost very reasonably. Haizhu Square Market that is located in Guangzhou provides goods at a whole sale price. There’s a huge range of varieties to choice from since almost all that are locally made is available in this market. Outdoor Activities Outdoor activities are wide spread all over China. There is a long list of fresh and exciting activities that are worth a try. Don’t forget to add these activities on your itinerary. Bicycling Getting around China by bicycle is not only a fun way of enjoying the great China outdoors but it is also a good exercise to get engage to. You would find it easy to hire a bike since about 300 million of the Chinese people still used bicycle in getting around the country. Hire shops are in the cities and towns. Biking around the Yangshuo, Guilin and Guanxi provinces, along the sections of the Great Wall and atop the Xian’s City wall are just some of the famous routes. Spelunking The Yellow Dragon Cave, which is considered as the largest in Asia, is located in Zhangjiajie. It is an ideal choice if you wish to engage yourself to a spelunking activity in China.
